P 250 million drug money retrieved from Fidel Ramos’ House

MANILA — Police has on Saturday afternoon retrieve 250 million Philippines Pesos, equivalent to $5 million, from the residence of ex-president Fidel Ramos.

Police says their outfit acted on a tip-off.

“A concerned citizen alerted us and we monitored activities for a while so as to make sure we raid the home when the funds are there” – Police said.

Police urged the media to keep identity of the whistleblower confidential so as to encourage others to give tip-offs when any.

The funds has since been seized and Ramos who was not at home at time or raid has been invited to report at the Police Station.
